Midwest Fleadh Cheoil
Detroit
hosted the 2001 Midwest Fleadh Cheoil, (pron: flah-kee-yol) this past
Saturday at the Doubletree Hotel in Romulus. See
results.
There was
about 200 entrants from St. Louis, Chicage, Toronto, Cleveland,and parts
of Kentucky and all over our area. The music was mighty and the Ceili
Band and Grupaí Cheoil contest were phenominal.
These competitions
qualify competitors for the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil to be held in
August 24-26. All-Ireland
Fleadh in Listowel, Co. Kerry.
Due to
the overwhelming response on the how well run the event was Crotty-Doran
will again host the 2002
Midwest Fleadh Cheoil, April 27 at the same venue.

Detroit

April 29th at the Doubletree Hotel in Romulus.
There was a
great turnout. There are about 200 entrants from St. Louis, Chicage,
Toronto, Cleveland,and parts of Kentucky and all over our area.
The music was mighty. Photos and stories to come (after we all get

The event was
extremely well run and the 2002 Midwest Fleadh will also be in Detroit.
